I, of course decided today would be the perfect day to get a Christmas tree as well. So, i drug my sorry husband to the christmas tree lot and spent a ridiculous amount for a tree that will die in a month. But the look on my child's face was worth it. Somehow, every possible thing that could go wrong in our life, literally always does. The one tree that I chose, for some reason wont seem to work in any of the three tree stands we have in the garage. After an hour of sawing at it with a chainsaw, Kameron decided to just drill a huge bolt through the bottom of the stand. into the tree to get it to stand upright. Apparently, he forgot that we have to water this damn thing for the next month and I can't have water flowing through the hole he drilled in the stand. So now, the tree is sitting in the garage with a coating of flex-seal (you know, that can of spray you see on commercials, that apparently can fix or repair a hole in anything, including a boat). Considering its 28 degrees out tonight, I'm not sure it will be drying within a matter of a few hours so we will decorate tomorrow morning. Like I said, everything in my life has to be difficult.
Which leads me to an update on our house. I'm not sure I can even type this without feeling like smashing the computer, this whole process has been so ridiculously stressful. Long story short, the loan officer whom I thought was taking care of everything and portrayed to me that she was. got fired from her position, leaving our file open and nothing done to it. We were under the assumption that our file had already received approval from the actual lender, which it hadn't, and our house was already done! w.t.f. After driving to Oregon for one signature, emailing and calling ten times a day, frantically visiting the courthouse for paperwork, pretty much running around like a chicken with my head cut off, we got our file sent to the lender and as of Wednesday, it was approved! I can not explain how much of a relief this is. On Monday, we are now able to schedule all of our contractors and we are expecting to be moving in to our house the beginning-middle of January. I think I can see the light at the tunnel. It's dim, but it's there.
On the bright side, Kameron and I have been hiding a secret for a few months now that we are so excited to finally tell everyone about. There will be another baby thompsen as of June of 2015. We are so excited about this adventure and can't wait for Lacey to experience a sibling. She turns three in January, so I feel like this will be a good age difference between the two. She doesn't quite understand when we explain to her I'm going to have another baby, all she insists is that it be a girl and she gets to feed it bottles. I think she truly will be a great big sister and such an amazing help to Kameron and I. I must say, I planned on wanting another one, but this pregnancy has been worlds of a difference than my pregnancy with Lacey. I had literally no symptoms with Lacey and I have been sick every waking moment with this one. Maybe it's a sign of a boy? This one just seems like a 180 compared to Lacey. I will be sure to keep everyone updated as we continue through this amazing journey, I'm just ready for my life to slow down for a few weeks. Unfortunately, with the approval of our loan, Christmas in a few weeks and then Lacey's birthday, I'm not sure that will happen any time soon. A girl can dream, right?! Until next time...
